"I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself." ~Philippians 3:10

And the beat goes on....

Another day of manifestaciones (demonstrations) around Tegucigalpa today. The supporters of ex-president Zelaya blocked the major eastern exit to the city today. For those who have been here before it is the road going out to Oriental.

As of right now, there have been no reports of any violence. We shall see. Unfortunately, the media here doesn't always tell us all that happens. There are some independent news sources that give us some more information so we'll see what comes out later.

I am really beginning to struggle with putting all of this into perspective. Not sure the truth is ever known and both "sides" of the conflict have a version of every incident that paints the other with such a broad stroke. And they both say the other is the true threat to the democracy here in Honduras. I'm really trying to read and learn as much as I can about all that has, and is continuing to happen. The whole history of the US and its intervention in Central America really makes you wonder. Still just hoping that the violent confrontations will quit and that they can find a solution that truly is what is best for ALL the people of Honduras.
