Arrived in Honduras today just before noon. It is great to be back. The landing is one of the most exciting ever even after multiple times. Teguc is in a bowl surrounded by mountains so the plane has to make a rolling left hand turn as it descends toward the runway. it hugs pretty close to the ground, hits the runway pretty fast and stops pretty quick. Pilots say it is in the top 2-3 of the most difficult landings in the world. Pretty much an "e-ticket" ride.
Went to Campero's for lunch. It's a chicken place and I think they have the best nuggets anywhere. I had my typical order; 6 nuggets, salsa de mustasa, doble papas fritas, no ensalada, grande coca light. That's 6 nuggets, mustard sauce, double order of french fries, no salad, large diet coke. It was good to be back!!
Tim, Gena, Dylan, Dalton, and Ron Cutsinger (an elder from a church in Sarasota) were all at the airport to pick me up and go to lunch. Ron will be here until Monday or Tuesday. He is here doing some survey work for a church they are supporting that will be built in Valley of Angels. Gena put me right to work thirty minutes after we got to the house moving bunk beds and setting up for the interns that will arrive in June. Then Tim and I wired the new storage shed with a flourescent light and a power outlet. It's weird, but the things I feel pretty inadequate in doing at home or hesitate to do, I jump right in and do here no problem.
Tim and Ron are cooking dinner and it smells great, so I'll check in later. See ya.
