We really enjoyed our first ever trip to California although the weather was never warm. As you can see by the pictures it was beautiful and the cool temperatures didn't stop the surfers. They were plentiful. One day I'm going to try it. Just didn't have time this trip. La Jolla is an interesting community. No Chevy, Jeep, or Toyota dealers. Try Lamborghini (sp?), Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati. It is really beautiful with the Cove, Seal Beach, the Pacific, and God's majesty all around and it is an interesting contrast with the constant presence of money and wealth also all around. The unmistakable presence of God and the unmistakable lure of the world. I guess it is really no different than what we see everywhere. God .... the world .... God .... the world .... God .... the world. God is there and the lure of the world is there. We get the awesome privledge everyday of waking up and making choices about whether we will see God and be seduced by Him or be seduced by all the world has to offer. Thank you God for giving us the choice. For giving us the freedom to live as we see fit. For giving us the opportunity to be a part of your creation. It is this freedom, this choice, and this opportunity that lets me know how much you love us and it is what constantly draws me back to you and away from the lure of the world.
