OK, so I didn't get the newsletter done yesterday like I had hoped, but I got to spend a little time with my friend Tim Hines. We met at the bodega (warehouse) so we could disperse some of the goods that had recently come in. Marc Tindall received a container this week and a couple of diputados (congresspeople) were there to get items to distribute to the poor in their areas. One man's name is Tito. He is running for congress this year and actually hopes to become part of the new president's cabinet. He (and I'm serious here) has three or four cell phones in his hands at all times. And he answers every call! He doesn't screen his calls at all even though they may all ring at the same time. from what I understand, if he misses a call, he calls that person back to talk to them. It doesn't matter who it is. He will probably win his congressional seat. He really cares deeply about the people here. I never cease to be amazed at Tim's ability to interact with the government officials here. It is definitely a gift.
Tim and I left the bodega and went to pick up the housekeeper of one of the doctor's here that we know. She has a need for a home so we traveled out to look at the property and assess the situation. It is out of the city in the rain forest, near the La Tigre National Park. Absolutely beautiful piece of property. I'm pretty sure we will be able to build the home when Kin Ellis has a group here in April. I hope to find another in the same area so we can do two in one day out in that location.
Tim and I then had lunch at a new place called West Wings. It is the second "wing joint" to open here in the city. It was quite good. The hot sauce was excellent. Definitely will get back there again.
I did get the newsletter out today. You can read it by going to our blog on our website, The Honduras Project.
Thought for today.....

All goes well when God is, so to speak, both the author and the object of our faith, the one complementing and augmenting the other. It is like the right side of a beautiful tapestry being worked stitch by stitch on the reverse side. Neither the stitches nor the needle are visible, but, one by one, those stitches make a magnificent pattern that only becomes apparent when the work is completed and the right side exposed to the light of day; although while it is in progress there is no sign of its beauty and wonder.
