I will be hanging at the house today.... got to catch up on paperwork. I always let it pile up on me so that it gets a little overwhelming. But I will get it done today!!
I really enjoyed having my brother-in-law here this past week. His heart is huge and coming to Honduras has given him a way to let that big heart find it's expression. There are many that would say that Donny can be a selfish guy. For instance, he is always late to everything and he really doesn't care how that affects others. It has always been this way with him. You just expect it. But here in Honduras, you can just see a different Donny. Here, he seems to care a lot about how his actions affect others. He is constantly thinking about ways he can help and give. He works hard at learning the language, he is always asking questions in an effort to learn the culture. These are not the actions of a selfish guy. They are the actions of someone who wants to participate in making a difference in the lives of others. They are the actions of someone who knows that he has the ability to make an impact and is willing to do it. Donny made his first trip here in June 2007 and in less than 2 years, he has returned 4 more times. As Donny headed through security at the airport, it was obvious that we were all fighting back tears. Lori, my wife, and I just looked at each other amazed. We are witnessing an amazing transformation. This hard-hearted, "selfish" guy, has become a big softie, and we love it!
Thought for the day......

The grace God extended to us all at the cross is extended with the hope of repentance not because of it.
