well, my three week blog sabbatical is over. time to get back to sharing my amazing wisdom and insight on all things important.
the buckeyes lost a championship game..... again..... to florida..... again! i'm really happy for my son as he is a diehard gator fan.
lent is drawing to a close and easter is almost here! i'm really glad as my forty days "in the desert" has taken it's toll. i've been experiencing a deep sense of sadness over the past few weeks. not sure why, but i'm assuming it has something to do with my lenten experience. i am ready for the celebration of the resurrection. i pray that this sadness will be replaced with a deep sense of joy. regardless, i am grateful for whatever it is that god is doing. one thing that i have become more and more comfortable with is the idea that god is using everything to shape us. there is no "wasted time" (great song by the way). he is shaping me through every moment and every experience. i may not always like it, but i am his workmanship (ephesians 2:10) and jesus is the author and prefecter of my faith (hebrews 12:2). i will rarely understand how or why god does what he does, but i trust that he is doing something...... i think.
