"I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself." ~Philippians 3:10

Why is it that we have such difficulty being upfront and honest with each other? Maybe its just me, but I wish that when someone is unhappy with something they would just try to honestly let whoever know so that maybe there could be a solution or resolution found to alleviate the tension. Sometimes it seems that we just avoid situations and more often than not they grow and get worse.

From here on out I want anyone out there reading this to know that if there is anything in our relationship or lives together that causes you distress or concern or anything to come see me, talk to me, e-mail me, etc., and let's figure out if there is something we can do to change it in a way that would be satisfying for both of us. Life is way to short and filled with enough heartache out of our control to allow the things we can control to give us any more.

PS.... If you read this blog, leave me a comment just so I can know you are out there!!

Hey - I'm reading!

Sounds like this post was the result of "we don't know how to confront so we'll do something passive-aggressive instead."

Hope you're doing okay.

Wish you were going to be back a day earlier - Jill Philips is going to be sharing her music on Aug. 21 - listened to mp3 samples and I think we will definitely be blessed.

Hey Mark,

It was a blessing getting to spend time with you guys again this year. We just made it home to Nashville safely last night and are continuing to keep you in our prayers. I'm thankful for what God is doing through you and your wife. It's a blessing.

I appreciate your thoughts on the blog today as well. Good stuff!

Through Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine!

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

the psalmist to say,
'the lord is my shepherd,'
and in doing so he proudly implied,
'i am his sheep.'

Hi Mark,
I've been out of the blogosphere for a few days, but I am reading--even have you subscribed in Bloglines so I know when there's a new post. I'm amazed at how Jesus is ministering to the people of Honduras, how he is one with them in their suffering, and thankful that you and Lori are one with him.
