Drew Holcomb came and shared some of his music with us this past Sunday. I love these short "unplugged" moments that we have had. A brief glimpse into the life and faith of these artists and the gift that they have to share it with others through their music. For me, listening to music live, unedited, and raw is way more appealing than the cleaned up studio versions.

There was one line in one of the songs that really stood out to me. It was a song that was written as Drew watched the marriage of a friend quickly come to an end....

"Everything can (will?) not be perfect.... Isn't that what love is for?"

Yes! As Peter put it (1 Peter 4:8):

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins (NIV).
Most important of all, you must sincerely love each other, because love wipes away many sins (CEV).
Most importantly, love each other deeply, because love will cause people to forgive each other for many sins (NCV).
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins (KJV).
Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything (MSG).
