"I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself." ~Philippians 3:10

OK.... new comittment. More blogs about our lives here in Teguc. I know, we'll see.

It's hard to believe that it has been over a year since we made the decision to move to Honduras and that God has seen fit to enable for us to be here. Thanks to all of you that have been helping!

Yesterday we went to the American Embassy for the first time. We had to apply for renewed passports. It's a very large building. The security is really tight. We were unable to bring in anything with us except our passports. No cell phones, or anything else electronic. I was a little surprised. I figured it would be similar to airport security (no knives, weapons, etc.), but it was much more. We really didn't wander around much. Didn't really have time. Hope to go back and check it out at another time.

We have been in the process of renewing our residency here and it has been a very long and confusing process. We secured residency last year, but had to renew it for an extended period. We discovered that the current administration here was changed the the directorship od Immigration and that they did nothing for months. There is some that believe that this administration is making it as difficult as possible for Americans to stay here and that is why it is taking so long. I went last week and "supposedly" paid the last fee for ours residency renewal to be finalized, but I haven't heard anything yet.

School just started here and they have already had problems with teachers being paid and schools not having classes. Seems like a constant problem here in the public schools even though every presidency promises to change it. Politics is politics everywhere!

Keep us in your thoughts!

Later
